Hami and Katja’s love story is a torrid and passionate one spanning some 7 years , They overcame Religious differences and other challenges in the eyes of their friends and family to be together. Ah, true love.
The couple confirmed me as their wedding planner after our first Skype conversation, though in typical fashion of ‘non-planners’, they didn’t include me in on the correspondences with vendors and suppliers until a month before the wedding! Ahh, couples. Gotta love’em. We knew each other through common friends as many clients are word of mouth referrals. The wedding itself was held at the beautiful Cotton House Villa Kalani in Umalas.
It was a gorgeous celebration. Fueled by the new bride and groom’s own energy and love for one another, the party lasted well into the early hours of the morning and farewells were said around 4am. Despite the seemingly long party, nothing crazy happened. Everyone was truly on their best behavior. I like a little bit of crazy from time to time, keeps things interesting but it was warm and cozy none the less.
Through the lavish, rustic-bohemian decor theme and lighting design By BLOOMZ the atmosphere was created and the ambiance set. Food emerged on platters courtesy of Potato Head. The beats kept the crowd lively all through the night and were a mix of the groom’s DJ friends.
